On May 31, artists from all areas of the San Miguel art community gathered at Casa Europa to sign the Arts Festival Agreement and creating the Arts Festival of San Miguel de Allende (FASMA). For many, this agreement was a dream realized. Alfredo Adame, director of the Festival, stated, “We are very happy because what was a dream a few months ago is now a reality. With the signing of this agreement, we give life to the Arts Festival of San Miguel de Allende. This will be a festival to celebrate the beauty of the many different art forms and to life in San Miguel.” The festival will take place from August 11 to 21. The formal opening of the festival will take place in the Main Jardín at 7pm. It will bring together a great many artists, including dancers, musicians, and visual artists. In addition, other contributors to the festival will be in attendance, such as Distrito Soma, Friends of the San Miguel Museum, San Miguel Technological Institute of Higher Studies, and many more.
